Material Prep

Stamping utilizes metal sheets or plates (such as stainless steel, aluminum alloy, copper and carbon steel ) as raw materials for its manufacturing processes. Prior to use, these must be cut and deburred so as to achieve smooth surfaces with accurate dimensions that enhance quality processes later.

Die Design and Production

A die is the cornerstone of stamping processes, directly impacting product precision and quality. As such, its design must meet product requirements precisely with regards to dimensions, shapes, tolerances, manufacturing process efficiencies as well as precision equipment usage.

Stamping Process

Stamping machines apply pressure to material through dies, forcing it to deform or shear into desired forms. The two primary processes involved with stamping include Blanking (cutting to shape) and Bending. Several processes must take place simultaneously: Blanking cuts material directly while Bending bends it to meet specific angles and requirements.

Drawing: Stretching flat material to form hollow structures. Forming: Producing complex curves using dies as tools.

After stamping, surface treatments are applied to enhance corrosion resistance and aesthetics of stamped products. Electroplating, painting, anodizing and polishing are some common treatments used; their exact selection depends on each product's application.
